As President & Managing Member of our company, Derek answers primarily to our clients and customers as well as to the rest of the Golfin' Around team. A San Franciso Peninsula native, Derek attended Burlingame High School in Burlingame, California and upon graduation went on to study at California State University, Chico where he dually majored in Business Administration & Construction Management. While a majority of Derek's professional experience prior to establishing Golfin' Around in 2008 was in construction & sales, many of these traits have proven to be relevant to how the company is operated. "While sales & communication skills are clearly an important element to running a business like ours, I think the most relevant part of my professional experience is project management and familiarity with supply chains", says Derek. " We treat each of our Event Management projects almost as you would a large scale building project. Specifically, doing an in depth initial analysis of budgets and projections and having defined timelines with designated tasks & objectives allows us to provide a level of service that to my knowledge is unavailable with any of our competitors. Moreover, for us to compete in the competitive corporate promotional product industries, we have to know how to buy and manage our supplier relations in order to be able to provide our customers with the best value and for our own resource management & preservation."

Derek is accessible and works closely with nearly all of our partner projects from inception through to development and follow through.

When Derek is not busy wearing his many hats to keep the company moving along, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling & perhaps most notably, the great game of golf.

Justin McGovern is one of two co-founders of Golfin' Around, LLC. Together with Derek Haskins, Justin contributed early on to the business plan development and implementation of the company. Justin continues to collaborate and work with the company, his primary role relating managing our existing portfolio of corporate golf outings as well as general client relations client development & relations. Justin attended Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, California and went on to graduate from San Diego State University in 2007.

Erich is responsible primarily for developing clients and customers for both the product and services side of our business. Before coming aboard, Erich had extensive experience as a chairperson on several fundraisers including the annual Caring 4 Chris Golf Tournament. Erich is an avid golfer and member of the golf league Elevated Greens.
